### What is it?

The Connected Tools layer is the application layer of the AoM.

It brings together best-in-class frameworks, models, and guides, and structures them within the AoM so they can be used as part of a connected system. These tools are designed and adapted from established thinking, with clear attribution. Each tool is mapped to a specific part of the model and designed to work alongside others, enabling teams to apply them in context rather than in isolation.

### Why it matters

Most organisations already use frameworks. The issue is not access to tools, but how they are selected, interpreted, and applied.

Teams often spend time sourcing frameworks, debating which to use, or applying them inconsistently. Many of these tools were developed in different contexts and were not designed to work together.

This creates friction and slows progress.

The Connected Tools layer removes this overhead by structuring how proven frameworks are used within a shared system.

### How it helps teams

• Apply best-in-class thinking without needing to source or validate it

• Work from a consistent set of tools across functions

• Collaborate more effectively using shared structures

### How it helps AI

Provide structured and connected inputs, enabling frameworks to be applied with greater consistency and relevance.

This layer enables action. It turns the AoM from a way of understanding and structuring marketing into a system that can be applied in practice across teams, workflows, and technologies.
