# Vision & Mission

### Vision

To be the universal language for company-wide marketing, for people and AI.

***

### Mission

To develop, maintain, and make accessible an objective and universally understood model of marketing. This includes publishing well-structured, clearly defined, and properly cited frameworks and resources as a public reference, available for use with attribution.

Through this, and in partnership with licensed training and consulting providers, the AoM supports organisations to align teams, guide decisions, and improve how marketing connects across the business.

### What this means in practice

The vision is a long-term ambition. Universal language means consistent enough to be used across organisations, industries, geographies, and AI systems without losing its meaning or requiring translation. Getting there requires the model to be maintained with discipline, updated with evidence, and governed with transparency.

The mission is how that ambition is pursued: by building and maintaining the best available model of marketing, keeping it openly accessible, and supporting its application through structured training and consulting partnerships.

Global adoption depends on access. The AoM is designed to be used by anyone, anywhere, and by any AI system, without barriers to the core framework. The conceptual layer is published openly under a Creative Commons licence and readable by both people and AI systems. This means a marketing team in Sydney, a consultant in London, and an AI agent briefed in São Paulo can all work from the same definitions, the same structure, and the same shared language.

Free registration extends that access further. Registered users get high resolution tool files, editable PDFs, version update notifications, community access, and a pathway into structured AoM training. Registration is free because the goal is adoption, not gatekeeping.
